Another 3 hour cracker of a concert from the word go by Gurucharan.
Suma Sayaka was outstanding .
Started Tarati jagarada with a short alaap and rendered soulfully and emotionally.
A brillian Surutti alaap with Sanjeev matching it with nice returns and a nice neraval and swarams at Thirupathi Venkatesh
Keeravani alaap was just awesome and Sanjeev matched with equal bowing. It is still ringing in my ears
Punniam oru koti was soulful rendition .I heard from some one it was by Thooran periaswamy -dont know if it right.
Makelara,Naalai varum,Kalyanagopalam ,thillana were crisp.

It was another brilliant concert back to back from Gurucharan in 2 days in Bombay. Both the concerts will be cherished for a long time,
specially for the Gowlipantu ,surutti and keeravani renditions today .

Sanjeev was in form throghout concert .
Neyveli Skandasubramaniam and Raj Ganesh were good in another long thani

The good rapport on the stage from all the 4 was visible.

Finally the young crowd again makes me happy to see the interest in Caranatic music in Bombay.

Hemavathy... I was just wondering whose composition this song is while listening to TVS yesterday. Thanks for the info!

Mumbaikars,
I know of one shanmughananda hall in matunga ,though not been there(I am assuming that is the biggest hall in terms of seating capacity). Is shanmughananda sabha and hall both same or are they different.
