I have this song sung by BMK in his 75 raga vaibhavam CD:

What does the last word (vicArE) mean? Also, is not nAradA manasija (mind born) of Brahma?

My attempt at providing the meaning with some minor corrections to the sAhityam:
SringEri nilayE SAradE
tungA tIra vihArini varadE
mangalAngi madhu kaiTabha mardini
sangita priyE nArada janani (SringEri)
Oh SaradA who has adopted SringEri as her home (nilayE), the granter of boons (varadE) who sports (vihAriNi) on the banks (tIra) of the tungabhadra (tungA); the lady with auspicious (mangaLa) limbs (angi), the slayer (mardini) of the demons madhu and kaiTabha; lover (priyE) of music (sangIta), the mother (janani) of nArada.
viNA pustaka mAla dhAriNi
dAnava kula hAriNi nArAyaNi
bhAnu kOti sama tEja prakASini
AnandAmruta varshini vANi (SringEri)
One who holds/wears (dhAriNi) a vINa, a book (pustaka) and a garland (mAlA); the defeater (hAriNi) of the race (kula) of demons (dAnava), nArAyaNi [1]; one who shines (prakASini) with the brilliance (tEja) that is equal (sama) to that of countless (kOTi = crores) suns (bhAnu); one who showers (varshini) the nectar (amruta) of happiness (Ananda), sarasvatI (vANi).

One who is the essence (sArE) of the vEdas, SAstras, and the Agamas in their entirety (akhila); oh sweet one (madhurE) who was worshipped (arcita) through the hands (kara) of Sri Adi Sankara; one who resides/sports in the lotus (abja)-like heart (hrud) of the poet, SrIdhara dAsa; one who creates (karE) happiness (mOda) through the means (vicArE) of yOga (nijayOga) [2].
[1] SAradA in SringEri seems to be an amalgam of sarasvati, pArvati, and lakshmi. nArAyaNi is either durgA or lakshmi
[2] I have translated vicAre and nijayoga contextually - alternately, could be 'thoughts of whom (vicArE) can simulate the benefits of yOga (nijayOga)'
Enna_SolvEn: While nArada is the mind-born son of brahmA it is customary to refer to him as the son of sarasvati as well in the time honored tradition - just like mahAlakshmI is referred to 'manmathanai InraruLum tAyE' (although manmatha was the mind-born son of vishNu), or kArtikEyan is referred to as 'gowri tanaya' (although he was born of Siva's energy alone)
