Please do make a recording available. MITHAS generally has impeccable archival.

Both of these are brilliant ideas!
In this day and age i dont see why a skype telecast is not possible. If the even is tickected then you should be able to pay for the skype telecast via paypal.
There are very high numbers of carnatic music followers all around the world and i dont see why organisers shouldnt try to propogate music to as many parts of the world as possible :)

With all the great reviews of Shriram Kumar's concerts in this tour, I can't wait to hear him in Detroit on Nov 1st.

Arvind is the right person to comment on this lecdem as he harbors deep knowledge of both carnatic music and sanskrit. It was a phenomenal lecdem I just wish we had some N more hours of Shriram. As Arunprakash rightly said we need three hours just to talk about "sri nadadhi" It is a daunting task to write about this lecdem as there were a lot of fundas discussed.. looking forward to arvind's post to re-live the lecdem

Recently our whole family 'attended' a wedding through skype. The wedding was in California, and a whole host of relations and friends all over the world could witness the wedding.
And it was done with a small home video camera attached to a computer, belonging to the bridegroom's brother, at the wedding.
It was awesome. The only thing we missed was the smoke from the homam getting in our eyes, yelling at the top of our voices to be heard over the Nadaswaram, and of course, the wedding feast!
it should be pretty easy, technically, but issues of artiste permission, sabha permission etc need to be addressed, I guess!
