Dear Rasikas,
Kindly enjoy the concert of Sri Neyveli Santhanagopalan held at the Seshadripuram Ramanavami Uthsavam, Bangalore held on 25.04.1995.
Neyveli Santhana Gopalan - Vocal,
H.K.Venkatram - Violin,
Neyveli Narayanan - Mridangam,
S.V.Balakrishna- Ghatam.
The concert was very excellent in many ways. Sri NSG and the Accompaniments were in full form on that day. The mike system arrangement was also very good.
[There is a slight speed variation in the beginning for a few seconds due to the Cassett].
Sri NSG’s voice is unique in that he is able to produce a melodic vibrabation when he sings. Which is similar to a saw tooth waveform in electronic terms. Saw tooth wave form
Enhances the timbre of the Voice / Instrument.
In this concert he sang "Sri Chamundeswarim"

I guess it's 1995 since Sri Nageswaran mentions this was released as a cassette? Certainly the timbre of NSG's voice is different (gorgeous swaras for hamsadhwani - how he sings the gandharam!).

Dear Sri Rajeshnut / Bilahari,
The composer of the song 'Sri Chamundeswarim' is Mysore Vasudevachar. The error is regretted.
The concert is not from any commercial cassette. The recording of the concert was done by the u/s at Bangalore and the concert date was 25.04.1995, 14 years before.
I was casually reviewing my music collections recently and I became spell bound after listening to this excellent concert.
Immediately I contacted Sri NSG and requested him to give the permission to upload the concert in the Rasikas.Org.
He was kind enough to give the permission for the upload.
Many of the Rasikas are yet to listen to the concert and I am eagerly waiting for their feedback.
I consider this concert as one of the best collections with me.
S.NAGESWARAN.

Thanks Nageswaran for sharing that superb concert with NSG in his prime. I have yet to hear the concert in full before commenting. I support you 100% on that Shanmukpriya. I did notice at places a slight shruti lapses and then I realized that it is due to the cassette drag problem and no reflection on the artiste.
Our sincere thanks to NSG (our dear vidyarthi) for permitting you to share this concert. He deserves to be venerated as an Acharya which he is, as this concert is living proof of his mastery of CM at a young age. God bless him for many more years!

Dear Nageswaranji,
I have one more reason to remember you with gratitude. I am already so grateful for Madurai GS Mani collection from you as well. Thank you for uploading suswara sangeetham from Neyveli team( Seshadripuram 1995). In fact, I was such a crazy fan of Neyveli even then( am even now) and used to follow him everywhere for his concert in Bangalore as a young kid on a moped. I might even attended this concert. This really brings my old memories alive.
Vidyaarthiji (NSG sir), thank you for your kindness and generosity in permitting the upload.
Vivek

Dear NSG sir
If there is one more lesson which we have to learn from you then it is your frankness and humility!
While this superb hall-mark concert could have become a best-seller in the commercial market it is indeed very noble gesture of you to have permitted Nageswaran to share it among us Rasikas which is an objective demonstartion of Thyagaraja's verses 'nidhi cAla suKhamA'! You have shown you not only preach music but also live by those high standards. No wonder you are appreciated and honoured by the CM community as a 'teacher's teacher'. Thank you!
