All are welcome?

Do our top musicians perform "all are welcome" concerts even in the US? That's new to me.

Only in Pittsburgh temple, do they regularly do this, to my best knowledge. Some concerts in NJ and other places are open to the public, depending on the profile of the artists...but @ Pittsburgh Venkateswara temple, its generally free or @ token cost.

All concerts at S V Temple, Pittsburgh are free. The temple underwrites the program in its entirety. The rare exception is when the concert has to be organized outside the temple auditorium to house a larger crowd - Yesudas concert is an example.

As already clarified, almost all concerts at the Sri Venkateswara Temple in Pittsburgh is
free(there is no token cost even) - The temple wants to promote music and so does not charge for the music
concerts. There has been a couple of exceptions as pointed out.

When I read about concerts at SV temple, I get nostalgic. I spent quite a number of years in the 80's & 90's in Pittsburgh, and they were the best times music-wise. After evey concert, we would get together at the kitchen and 'feed' the artistes while chatting with them about various topics, musical & otherwise. I can still recall with fondness the times spent with TRS, Janakiraman, TKG, Lalgudi Shrimathi, Subhashchandran, & others.

You 'burghers, you will miss the place when you leave it!

Jayaram - the tradition of dinner for he artists continues today. All the ex-burghers have memories about this part of the post-concert.

The brothers gave a nice concert playing for over three hours. Having started late because of the functions at the temple, after asking the audience at 10.15 if they should play an RTP, they went on to play an RTP in dwijavanti. The other main piece was 'rama katha' in madyamavati. They have very good understanding between themselves and that raises the level of the concert enormously. Overall it was a very good concert.

As someone pointed out, here are the brothers from whom the Hyderabad brother can learn about collobaration, understanding and performing as a team
