I am posting the meaning in this thread in response to a request
(rAgA: kalyANi)
1: dEvI tAyE karuNai puriya iduvE samayam enrazhaittEnE (dEvi tAyE...)
Oh dEvi, my mother (tAyE), I have called out (azhaittEnE) to you because (enru) this (iduvE) is the time (samayam) for you to shower (puriya) compassion (karuNai) on me.
(rAgA: sAvEri)
2: dEvargaL yAgam puriya arakkanai azhikka avatarittAyE (dEvi tAyE...)
You appeared/incarnated (avatarittAyE) to destroy (azhikka) the evil demon (arakkanai), when the gods (dEvargaL) performed (puriya) a sacrifice (yAgam) to propitiate you [1], (Oh dEvi, my mother...).
(rAgA: SaNmukhapriyA)
3: OmkAra rUpan vEl mayil vAhananai InreDutta Adi poruLE
You are the main/supreme (Adi) principle (porulE) that gave birth (InreDutta) to very form (rUpan) of the primordial sound, the OmkAra, the lord who has a peacock (mayil) for a mount (vAhananai) and wields a spear (vEl) [2].
(rAgA: saurASTra)
param poruLE pArvatiyE krSNa dAsan paNindiDum (dEvi tAyE...)
Oh pre-eminent (param) essennce (poruLE) of the universe! Oh pArvati (pArvatiyE)! (Oh dEvi, my mother...) who is worshipped (paNindiDum) by the composer krishNa dAsan [3].

Shivadaasi - a couple of pointers:
1) Please do not tack on new requests to the old ones in the same topic; create new ones for eeach new request.
2) Before you create a new topic, use the 'search' tab (in the dark-blue strip under the banner which is in a lighter shade of blue) to figure out if what you want has already been discussed.
jaya jAnaki ramaNa - the tODayamangaLam you want was discussed at length in this thread http://rasikas.org/forums/viewtopic.php? ... amana.html
