Continuing post in #1, my take of the day was keeravAni alapanA and neraval, swaras. I guessed she will sing amba vAni as the concert was in memory of legendary HMB. Gayathri sand 2nd kala swaras only, and lot of 1 avarthana swaras. While ending the swaras in 1 avarthanam, she was ending as "vara", should could have completed atleast as "varaveena".....
Kaalapramanam for first 2 keerthanas was quite similar, and neerajakshi was welcome change. She sang it in enjoyable chowka kalam, and i didn't miss an alapana. She clearly brought out flat and gamaka prayogas in nishadam, as pointed out by a mAmi who spoke during felicitations. padavni sadmakthi would have made saurav ganguli proud, it completed in about 2 minutes
Kalyani was sung very detailed and brought out most of the prayOgAs. nijadasa vara was a good choice, not very often heard though. slokam/viruttam was quite good, preceeding darbari kanada tarangam. The seven raga ragamalika is a good concept, and was aptly named as saptagirimAla by sugunA mami.
kavadi chindu was sung very very leisurely, and was enjoyable. And a surprise towards end, Gayathri sang thirupugazh with two talas, one in each hand, like her guru. common factor both tala was 36 aksharams, for 2 avarthanams for tisra jaati jampa tAlam (tisra nadai), 1 avarthanam for kanda triputa. jampa talam was in right hand, and kanda triputa was in left.
I am hearing Vid rajakesari for first time, i understand he is from mysore and one of senior disciples of guru Karaikudi Mani sir. He played excellently throughout the concert, and very enjoyable tani avarthanam also.
It was a great morning concert, probably quite well attended compared to her previous concert in bangalore, not withstanding a sunday morning and a gloomy bangalore weather.

What are the rAgas of saptagirimAla, smt suguna Purushotaman has quite a lot of ragamAligas.
She put the same two thalams when we had K.Gayathri's concert of rasikas at dvmk's house. There is always a very noticeable confidence of k.gAyathri , she is going to make it big for sure.

Rajesh - i mentioned 5 ragas in post #1, i asked K.Gayathri for other two ragas. I didn't quite notice that it was turning into ragamalika until 4th ragam, so couldn't write down);-. She mentioned it, but i can't recollect them now....
