I think the concert started around 1.30 p.m. and ended by 4.15 p.m.
Shri R.K.S.R.K announced the name o the kriti, rAgam etc. after every piece..
Probably this is the first time I am hearing a violin solo from R.K.S.K
It was a very satisfying concert. Of course there was no R.T.P.
The concert got off to a fine start with the cittaranjani piece. The second song in paras, I think I am hearing for the first time. Bhairavi AlApanai was for about 6 minutes or so and the song was rendered in all its splendour. Before this was the saraswati manOhari kriti, in which the anupallavi was taken for neraval and swaram. The pUrvi song of M.S.D , which I am hearing for the first time was good. Sounded like a janyam og MMG-SGMPNS-SNDPMAGRS. Pl. correct me if I am wrong.
The next song 'akshayalingavibhO' is one of my favourites; he did an alaborate AlApani and neraval swaram at 'sAdujanOpEta'. I could hear the sAhityam in his playing;it was so beautiful.
He announced the tALam as misra Ekam; I thought it was called misra cApu.

This was followed by a beautiful tani in which both the artists played very well, and it was very pleasing to the ears.
I could not remember the P.D padam.
Then came parulanmATa, followed by 'varugalAmO' -It was played with a
lot o senstivity and in many places I FELT that I HEARD SHRI. K.V.N's voice. An absolutely beautiful rendering by RKSRK. It moved me to tears. That it was my mother's favourite song is also a reason, may be.Like all good things, the kutcheri came to an end with the mangaLam.
As I wrote elsewhere (In another kutcheri thread o RKSK,)
our arasi's phrase 'sollAmal solludal' was used to refer to Shri. Arunpraksh's playing.
I understand that ramakriya was there ;wish I had known; it was a small gathering of the audience and I could have easily looked for a fellow rasika.
