I am proposing to all the reviewers here for a standard format
for the song list. This is because of the following reasons.
1. Now we have reviewers from multiple loactions. Many people writing so better to follow one template.
More people are eager to write reviews to share their joy/disappointment of concert expr.
2. And a standard format of list allows you to quickly get an idea of concert and also makes
the reviewer not to miss any details..
3. Writing in this format eventually will make you seek for details like accompanying artist names,
time of alapana, etc.
This is a standard only for song list and not for the review which can be free formatted.
I used Rajeshant songlist as a basis and tried to standardise it.
Standardisation always has resistance and less funding in corporates. Let us see how people
react here.
there are three basic templates
1. Title template
2. Song template
3. RTP template
A song list can be written using all these three templates.

This is the second template, ie Song template.
Format for a song :
--------------------------
<item No> <song name> : < Song color> <(xRy, N,S,T)> -<Raga1, raga2..>-<Talam>-<Composer>
N @ <neraval line>
Song color indicates one of the these : Varnam, language, Thirupavi, Thirupugal, Ragamalika, virutam, slokam
You can also add main , submain if required though they are obvious. May be some more.
N @ meaning neraval line.
For other details , see examples below.
Examples :
A. (RNST) is now (xRy, N,S,T)
ie (10R6, 6N, 9S, 6T)
Interpretation is
10R6 - Raga alapana for 10 minutes by main artist and violin return for 6 minutes.
6N - Neraval for 6 minutes
9S - Swaram for 9 minutes
6T - Thani for 6 minutes
B. So to write a main song, here is the Main song example
6. kamAlAmbikE (10R6, 6N, 9S, 6T) -tOdi - Adi - MD
N @ sakala lOka nAyikE sangeetha rAsikE ambA
in case, you didnot note down the times, just write (R,N,S,T)
C. Ragamalika example
7. Ksherabdi Kannike : Ragamalika - Kurinchi, dhanyasi...-kanda chapu - PD
or simply (if you didnot note down ragas)
7. Ksherabdi Kannike : Ragamalika - Kurinchi - kanda chapu - PD

Thank you.
It is very easy to follow though it looks complex. Any standard, when you define using
syntax looks tricky. Already, it is followed in some sense. This only makes you put the
details in a predefined place and also reduces some extra texting.

rajaglan... you are almost there.
Just need a suitable dtd schema for this and then we will be all set.
Like:
<kutchery type="vocal" date="xxx" artiste=>
<item type="varnam"...>
</item>
</kuchery>
Please fine tune this and we can move on this immediately. Meanwhile I shall work on the technology to transfer it instantaneously through cabling that we can solder on to the ears of our members
