This was a pleasing performance by Sudha Ragunathan and personally I enjoyed the Thodi and the Ragam Thanam Pallavi. I think the rasikas of Hyderabad are not always lucky to get an RTP from the performers and after a long time there was an RTP.
Kalasagaram's festivals are never a disappointment. They are always a treat. And Mohanam as the main piece is also not very often here. So all in all it was a pleasing concert and personally I enjoyed it. The Ragamalika was in Vijayanagari,Chandrakauns,Sudhdha saveri and Maand I guess. The neraval for the Thodi was sung at "Vel maruvum amala kara kamala" It was fantastic. The swaras for "ra ra raajeeva lochana" were sung at the pallavi. The RTP was the best part of the concert. The post main items "Vishamakara kannan" and "Baro krishnayya" were sung on a request from the rasikas.
The violin by Embar Kannan was simply amazing. The thaniavarthanam by Skandasubhramanian and Raman was also very good,

I was also there for the concert...but too late bcoz of the kaarthikai festival for us and as usual the traffic jam that day. But i was lucky enough to hear my goddess sing that fabulous RTP and the other pieces that followed. she is just a great personality who never leaves anyone ( be it rasikas or the organizers) unsatisfied. As usual it was a marvellous performance by her..
