As per my guess, The song 'sthirata nahi nahi re' sung by Smt. Sudha Ragunath (in her Album titled " Manasa sancharare") is Rag:soorya ( when the note GA of the rag Hindolam is changed to antara Gandharam, the rag sUrya is emerged).

There is no strict rule that the Kritis of Sri Sadasiva Brahmendral are to be sung in a particular raga only. This great composer had only written the Lyrics without assigning any particular raga for any of his songs. But the reality is that, in whichever raga one hears a Brahmendral's Keertan, they all are very appealing and vibrating, due to the inherent essence of meaning of each of his compositions.

This song is sung in the Rag Amrutavarshini by BMK. Many other musicians have also sung this song in this same rag only, with few exceptions.

Radhe Krishna
