Well, Mr Gnaanam.

The list of songs offered on 7th December at N S T S S Nanganallur bears you out.

1 arunodayame - bauli - adi - Lalgudi
2 Shrimahaganapatim bhaje - atana - adi - Jaya Chamaraja Wodeyar
3 Ekamranatham bhaje - gamakakriya - adi - M D
4Manasunilpa - abhogi - adi - Tyagaraja
5 tolinenujesina pujaphalamu - kokiladvani - adi - ,,
6 enneramum - todi - adi - Marimuttapillai
7 Avadharu raghupati - kamas - kandachapu - Annamayya
8 RTP - Chandrakauns - kanda jampa(panchamukhi)
9 bhajanam cheyvin - bagesri - adi - Kesava Pillai
10 Tillana - puranirmai (chenchurutti) - tisra adi - Uttukkadu Venkatakavi
Mangalam

Smt Padma Shankar , Melakkaveri Balaji and Madipakkam Murali were the accompaniments.

The concert was intellectually most satisfying. The Thodi Kriti was a gem and was rendered with relish. The support from the accompanists was instinctive and went a long way in making the concert a success.

The Thani followed the Thodi Kriti. At this stage, Sri Nanganallur Ramanathan, the moving force behind N S T S S, announced that an unusual R T P was to be presented and asked the audience not to go away . The audience chose to stay.

At the end of the concert ,he showered compliments on the artistes for the excellent quality of music that was offered.

3rd December concert was excellent. It was so good I did not even feel time passing.

Second only to Prema Rangarajan was the beauty of Padma Shankar's contribution. Sedond to nobody was the sparkling contribution of Balaji!

Well Jagan,

A small correction . It is "Mrs" Gnaanam, (which is actually the handle for Vidushi Neela Ramgopal.) :)

The Sudhha Bangla song you are referring to is Tolinejesina puja phalamu. The word "nu" is the differentiating factor in the two lines .

Both are compositions of Tyagaraja. set to Adi tala.

I have since corrected the name of the composer viz. Jaya Chamaraja Wodeyar in the original posting. Thanks for pointing this out .
Cienu,
I am unable to comprehend the meaning of "HANDLE to Smt. Neela Ramgopal" .

Handle --- yes, it does sound peculiar if one does not know the jargon!

This one does not originate on the internet, but on "Citizen Band" radio --- the two-way radio system truckers use to talk to each other in USA and other countries where it is used.

Nick ,
Thanks for the clarification.

Arasi,
An appropriate name for Vidushi Neela Ramgopal.
Surprised and glad that she is on this site.
She was known as a Gnanasthi even thirty years back.
