I made it to todays event following their excellent review (at Nalinaganti) on Hindu 2 days ago. Carnatica Brothers gave a exciting and energetic overall performance.

Enjoyed the concert by the Carnatica Brothers. The highlights were a scholarly raga essay of Malayamarutham by KNS with brisk Neraval & swaram for Manasayetulo. GP sang a soulful Mukhari ragam for the rare kriti by Shri Subbaraya Shastri "Emininne" which matches the splendour of "Ksheenamai" by Thyagaraja Swami. The chittaswara was full of beauty but the singers followed with KS and tani to Sri Mushnam Raja Rao on the Mridangam and Shri T.V. Vasan on the Ghatam. That left little time for the RTP in Rishabapriya which was hence rushed but the brothers did not omit any of the aspects of RTP singing. They were ably accompanied by Shri Manju Shrikanth on the violin and the percussionists. All in all, a good morning kutcheri!

Mysore Shrikkant not to be confused with Mysore Manjunath!
