Oh mother (tAyE) who arose (uditta) from the ocean (tirai) with (oDu) laskhmi (tirumAdu) and pArvati (mAd(u)umai) [3]! I have worshipped (tudittEn) your (un) feet (tALiNaiyE) [4] everyday (dinam), (Oh sarasvati"¦)!

[1] the nAlvar I am familiar with are apppar, sambandar, sundarar, and mANikkavAcagar
[2] yAzh is not exactly a vINA, but a stringed instrument that is similar - there is more than one kind of yAzh
[3] I am totally flummoxed by the underlined word - I split is as mAd(u)umai to derive pArvati because the preceding word described lakshmi (tirumAdu), but the phrase ‘tirumAdoDu mAdumai tirai uditta’ doesn’t make any sense at all, even though ‘tirai’ could mean the ‘sea’ - I hope some one will help (Rajani, Arasi, Sridhar, Punarvasu, others....?)
[4] tAL - feet, iNai - both of them in unison
