Some word meanings if it would help:

vandiDil=if you come
Iraindu Siram=two times five heads (rAvaNA's ten heads)
kuRaL vaDivu=dwarf form
aravak koDiyON=one who has a flag of a snake (duryOdanA)
enakkenil (enakku+enil)=if it is for me, for my sake

bhaktha,
You might know that this song is by Ambujam Krishna...

A full translation of aravinda padamalar would be so enjoyable. Arasi has already got it going. Thanks for the trouble.

P: aravinda pada malar nOgumO (unran) aDimai enakku irangi AtkoLLa vandiDil
lotus - feet flower- will it - hurt (your) - slave - for me - have mercy - make yours - if you come
Will it hurt your lotus feet if you, taking mercy on me - your slave, come to make me yours?

A: viraindu tiraikaDal kaDandu arakkanin Iraindu shiram koNDa rAghavanE unran
hurried - the sea - went past - the rAkshasA's - 2x5 - heads - took - O rAghavA - your -> go to pallavi to complete the sentence.

Implied meaning: You slayed rAvanA by crossing great hurdles (or enormous distance). For such a supreme god like you, will it hurt your feet if you come to save a poor soul like me?

C: kuraL vaDivAi vandu IrEzhu ulagu aLandAi caraNamadAl kanni sApamum tIrttAi aravak-koDiyOniDam
vamanA - in the form of -came - 2x7 - worlds- measured - with those feet - woman (girl) - curse - removed - to the one with snake-flag (duryOdanA)
aivarukkAga senRAi karuNAnidhi un tirunAmam sollik-kanindu mey urugiDa azhaittiDum enakkenil
for the five (pANDavAs) - went - treasure of mercy - your - blessed name - saying - ripen/mature(become soft) - body - melt - calling - if for me.

You did great things with your feet: measured the worlds, removed AhalyA's curse, walked to duryOdana as pANDava's messenger; but when it comes to saving me who keeps calling your blessed name, will your feet hurt?

Shyama-priya, here is the other:

Pallavi : (eduppu - samam)

Appan avata(da)ritta kathAmrutam - iyy-
Appan avata(da)ritta kathAmrutam

appan - father, god. iyyappan - shAstA, avadaritta - taking ncarnation, kathA amrutam - sory, ambrosia.
This is the nectarine story of the incarnation of the Iyyappan. [I guess it is iyyan (boss, god) + appan(father, god)] Anybody has a better idea? Does it somehow refer to hari and haran?

Anupallavi(Ist aavarthanam - 3/4 aksharam from sama eduppu)
(IInd aavarthanam - sama eduppu)

MubbhuvanangaLai vAttum mahishamukhi
mudal arakkar karu varukka varum aiyy (appan)

MubbhuvanangaLai - the three worlds, vAttum - torturing, mahishamukhi - wild buffalo-faced rAkshasi,
mudal - starting with, arakkar - the rAkshasAs, karu - embryo, arukka - to cut/destroy, remove even the origin of the stuff being destroyed, varum - (he who) comes

(story of) Iyyappan who comes to destroy completely all the rAkshasAs starting with mahishamukhi who tortured all the three worlds.

Charanam (Ist aavarthanam - 3/4 assharam from sama eduppu(
IInd " - sama eduppu

MOhini vadivukoL malar kaNNan azhagil
mOham kondu kalandAn mukkaNNan - tri

MOhini - female form of Vishnu, vadivukoL - take the form of, malar - flower, kaNNan - (flower) eyed person, azhagil - in (his) beauty
mOham - passion, kondu - had, kalandAn - united, mukkaNNan - three-eyed Siva, tri - three

Siva united with Hari who came in the bewitching form of Mohini.

(balance two avarthanams' tune are like anupallavi - thAlam : sama eduppu)

LOka mangaLa kara moorthy maNikandan
uyar thiru shasthaa enum peyarOdu (Appan)

LOka - world, mangaLa - auspicious, kara - make, capable of making, moorthy - Lord, maNikandan - one with a (golden) bell around his neck,
uyar - exalted, thiru - SrI, blessesd, shAsthA enum peyarOdu - with the name of shAsthA.

Thus came manikaNDan, with the exalted name of shAsthA, to make the three worlds auspicious.
