Sorry for the delay in post. This is the problem of a chennaite working
and having a no-music-only-work boss.

List of songs.

1) Sudhamadhurya-Sindunamakriya-Thyagarajar
2) Ragam-Darbar-Endundi vetalidivo-Thyagarajar
3) Ragam-Hamsanadham followed by Telisite Mokshama-Annamacharya
4) 3 minutes ragam followed by Abhayambiga-Devagandhari-MD
Main-Saveri-Rama Bhana Trana-Tyagarajar
5)Ritigowla-Ragam, tanam
Pallavi-Brahmanandam paramasukatham kevalam jnanamurthim gurum paramagu
rum, parameshtigurum, sadha bhaje. followed in Mohanam,Dhanyasi,
Hamsanandhi, Yaman Kalyani.
6)Sivaya Namavenru-Kuntalavarali- ???
7)Srimadh payonidhi niketana-slokam in Karnaranjani followed by
namavadhami satamruhare.. - ??
8)Ramajogi-Kamas-Badrachala Ramadas

Malladi was as usual, the best on that day. His Hamsandaham and
the kriti was superb. Pallavi for his Ritigowla RTP was very good.

S.Varadarajana was closely moving with MB which was a delight to
listen.

The problem with MBs that they never sing Shyama Sastri kritis.
MA, as told by two of the Executive members of MA- Trnity kritis
are a must and to be rendered. Only Vijay siva and few other prime
artists did render this. Ranjani Gayathri did not even render MD
kriti concentrating more on Tri-Raga RTP.

Secondly, one of the brothers had a throat problem
during Ritigowla. Except Hamsanadham, all the Raga renditions
were made by other one.

More conerts ! More problems !!!! Tani was good.

- They have many times presented (1) Bhairavi/tODi swarajathi (2) Saaveri (Durusuga, Shankari) & of course ananda bhairavi kritis of SS. They are very good at presenting Maayemma (Ahiri).

Looks like, grs has not heard them.

I might have missed.. But during this season, and in the last 4 concerts reviewed here, no SS Kriti.

The Hindu mentioned that , -many- raga alapanas and there were no crisp songs in between which could have elevated the concert.

I remember the Brothers singing an elaborate lalitA followed by nannu brOvu of SS at their Mudhra concert in 2008...
