sarasUDa was rendered at a brisk tempo and at one speed (as is common in TRV's concerts). mahAgaNapatim had elaborate swarams, with some exchanges with the percussionists. After an elaborate AbhOgi and a brisk haMsanAdam, vAcaspati was explored thoroughly, in as much detail as is appropriate for the heavy and rare number that followed. The composition was rendered to its full weight, with appropriate measure of neraval and swarams. The tani included koraippu to eduppu initially, then to samam, and was very enjoyable too.
The rAgamAlika tAnam covered classical rAgams.
Accoustics could be much better (I felt the full effect of poor accoustics as earlier in the day I'd attended concerts in halls with much better accoustics).
