CharulathaRamanujam-Violin
Sivaraman-Mirudhangam

Her melodious voice retained the audiance throughout the concert.Brilliant Alapana in Saveri and swaraprastharam delighted the rasikas. She preseneted a rare composition Thulasi Jagajani. Her slow pace singing some time becomes overdose, In this concert except for neevada and varnam all were sung in very slow tempo.Over all presentation was very good.
Violin and mirudangam was too good and enhanced her performance.
charulatha.s Abohi was extra ordinary.Sivaraman's Tani was a classic touch.

1.Kedaragowla-Varnam
2.Thulasi Jaga-Saveri -A-S
3.Anadha-Kedaram
4.Sabapathiku-Abohi-A-S
5.Neevada-Saranga
6.Jagadeesa-Natakurunji-A-N-S
7.Tirupugaz

Gamakam,

I read your interview with Amruta...
She sounded very frank and humble.
Her naattakurinchi clip was good . I quickly had to
tune to SSI's NK RTP .
Another artist in my,list to track from this year.

Very nice to hear amrutha venkatesh's candid opinions. She taking a vistaramana rAgam within a slot is very welcome. Also she sacrificing her medical and engineering is noteworthy, wish her the best.

Thanks for the nice interview, gamakam. She is indeed very candid - I especially liked how she said she would continue singing in vilamba kalam even though people have complained it's boring! It takes a lot of courage to take up music (or any art) as a profession, and I wish her the very best.

Amrutha is undoubtedly the best talent out of Bangalore in recent times. I have been watching closely and attending many of her concerts. In five year's time, she should be a top ranking artist, unless she herself wants to throw it away by adhering to viiiiiiiiiiiiiiilamba kalam.

Gamakam,

tHanks for the interview and I am very happy to note that the vidushi will continue to sing in vilambakalam irrespective of any type of comment.

Since she is only 21 a small piece of advice to her.

I,atleast never complaint about singing in vilambakalam.Rather I welcome that. But what I found of late is the absence of life (jeevan) in her singing.

I request her to again listen to Brinda-Muktha,Sowmya,Dr.Shbhashini Parthasarathy and their like.

Hope she reads this.
