S-P here is my attempt ( first part):

puLLik-kalApa mayil bhAgan - He rides a peacock that has a plume patterned with dots,
shatti pudalvanAna - is the son of Shakti(goddess Parvati)
ghana yOgan - and is most blessed
kOlap-pannirandu vAhan - He has 12 good-looking shoulders/arms
malai pOlat-tAn tiraNDa - that are muscular, resembling a mountain
nal vivEgan - and he is very wise !

kazhugu malai vAvivaLam sholvEn - I shall talk about the prosperity/beauty of Kazhugumalai hill and its ponds,
enrum vAzhum - (where He) always resides,
mAdE kEL ippOdE = O maiden, do listen now!

S-P - "paagan" means one who rides. As in yanai-p-paagan for a mahout. I don't think it is from any Sanskrit word.

veLLai nArai kottum vELai tappi - Having escaped when the white crane swoops,
mErkkoNDu ezhundu shila vALai - the Vaalai fish jumps above the water level,
gati mIrip-pAyumtorum - whenever it jumps out of the river's path,
tennam pALaiyuDan tAzhai - the coconut, betel nut trees and screwpine bushes
sHiriccyum - laugh (?)

(Not sure of the last word - it may be some other verb which implies that these plants protect the fish and help it get back to the river.)

teLLum piLLaiyanbaip-pEDum - The female (hen) rejoices in the young ones,
iLam shEvalAnaduvum Udum - and the young rooster is piqued.
pinbu - Then,
tEmalart-tavishil - In the bed of the nectar-filled flower(lotus)
kAmamuTRa vandu kUDum uravADum - the intoxicated bee comes and dallies

Rajani, this poetry is sheer imagery, its absorbing visual vividness -- utterly delightful in its rich flights of fancy! What an imaginative poet/composer!

an-nallAr - those good women,
kUDik nIndi viLaiyADi shellum - who gather, swim and play (in the river) and then go,
andarattu min pOl - like the lightning in the sky,
annam shellum pinnam - the swans follow (them)

vanda mEdi - The buffalo which comes there (to the riverside)
uLLE eTTum - reaches in(to the water),
shinai varAlum mEle ezhuntu muTTum pOdu - when the pregnant Varaal fish jump up and hits against it (like a calf would while drinking it),
maDi shurandu - (then) its udders becoming full,
kanru tanai ninaindu - thinking of its calf,
pAlaik-koTTum - yields milk
kaNDa maTTum - till as far as one can see.
