Lalgudi Siblings - any reviews ?

Hi Srikanth,
I had attended the concert of Lalgudi siblings @ MFAC on 1st Jan 2010.
GJR Krishnan started by wishing all rasikas a happy new year on his behalf and on behalf of the team consisting of his Sis.Vijayalakshmi, Shankaran Sir on the Mridangam & V.Suresh on ghatam.
The following is a brief listing of the krithi line up.
Varnam in Hamsavinodhini composed by LGJ.
Thyagaraja Krithi starting with Varadaja as announced by GJRK. Can't recollect the raga.
Dikshithar krithi Ananda natana in Kedaram since it was tiruvadurai star on the day.( This was accounced by GJRK.)
Andavane in Shanmughapriya by Vijaya lakshmi ( Alapana ) . Krithi rendered by both.
Mohana Rama in Mohanam
Main was Todi in which Gajavadhana by Kumara Yathindra Bupathi was rendered with elaborate alapana & swarams. Nevaral was not taken up.
Special mention should be made of Tani by Shankar Sir & Suresh.
Lalgudi Jayararaman Sir walked up with help from two people, when the concert was in progress.
On the whole a very pleasing concert and Tani by Shankaran sir & Suresh would be in memory for a long time.

This concert was considered Unique since for the first time AKP and Suresh accompanied them. This thavil ghatam combination was also new. AKP's thani was nice and he wanted Suresh to repeat the same sollu, which VS tried his level best.
In general the performance was very good. It was also noticed that during thani nobody stirred out.
