Thanks to some other commitments, I was terribly late for the concert and reached only for the main kalyANi. Subbaraya Sastri's 'ninnuvina' was rendered with neraval and svarams at 'vinuta pAlini'. The post tani affair had a nice yadukula kAmbhOji piece from kathakaLi music, amongst other pieces. The concert was good and one felt bad for missing the first half. The concert was ended in an unorthodox fashion, with the last caraNam of 'bhAvayAmi raghurAmam' in madhyamAvati that depicts the 'paTTAbhishEkam'.

The accompanists were wonderful and made it an amazing concert.

anybody attended the full concert and can provide the full songlist?

I think it is the first time i am seeing a report on his performance in chennai.

Being in Bangalore I am unable to attend them.

Never knew that, difficult to hear him in chennai as he sings too few concerts. In 2006 or so in krishnaghana sabha he sang a very memorable kamalApta kula in brindavana saranga, that number is etched a lot in my memory

Rajesh I didn't get a chance since his concerts are rarely discussed here

.

And yes he doesn't give too many concerts in Chennai. He gives mainly in Kerala,Andhra and may be other parts of Tamilnadu.
Also he is a regular in AIR etc.

Ending the concert with Kalitavarasetubandham was the usual practice of MDR as I have already written in a separate thread.
