It was a very touching concert and I particularly found the Mukhari exposition very poignant. The HMB Varnam was a good start and there was a nice round of Swarams. The Chakravakam Alapanai was nice and the last round of Swarams with a fine Korvai was notable. The violinist's replies here were wonderful. Infact, the accompanists played a very good role throughout the concert. A short Hamsanadham Alapanai preceded the Uthukkadu Krithi. The round of Swarams here was particularly good with various patterns sung.

The Kambhoji was elaborate and the Neraval and Swarams were done at Manasija Koti Koti Lavanyaya Dina Sharanyaya Shri Subramanyaya Namasthe in three speeds, something I haven't heard. The Tani for the Rupakam 2 Kalai that followed was very good, with some very interesting Nadai variations by the Mrudangam Vidwan. Post main, the Thukkada segment appealed to me (usually am not too enthused) with a moving Sindubhairavi and the Revathi Thillana - one of my personal favourites.

The Mukhari was very evocative and made the concert a very poignant one.

She is sounding great until she starts singing in the high pitch. Very screeching and difficult to hear. MAybe lowring of the sruthi will be a good idea.

Maheswari, Once again this is not a forum to vent out your frustrations with the organizers. Please do not mention organizers name in a public forum.
