Here you go!
Pallavi: Let us declare "salutations to you, Mother". Let us us worship our motherland
C1: Let us ignore caste, creed, and religion. If somebody has attained a lofty status in this land, it does not matter whether they are from the priestly class or some other class in the society.
C2: Even if they are "outcastes" they live with us, don't they? Would they become Chinese (here it means foreigners)? Would they harm us like some foreigners do?
C3: We may have umpteen (thousands) divisions in our caste classification. But which foreigner has to right to step in here?
Those who were born to the same mother are brothers despite their quarrel amongst them.
C4: If we are united we can survive. If we are divided we all perish. We all have to realize this. If we do there is no need for anything else.
C5: Whatever status we get it shall be for all of us. All 30 crores of us will survive. If not all 30 crores of us shall perish. (Bharathi meant Independence from the British. Around 1910-20 when this song was written the population of India--including Pakistan and Bangladesh-- was 300 million)
C6: We have been servile until now. Let those days be over. Let such shame be gone and let us cast that away.
Let us say "vandE mAtaram' (vaNakkam tAyE!)
