SMT.Sudha Ragunathan 's Concert on the 23 rd was excellant as ususal. started with Late GNB's varnam in raga Ranjani. Since it was a GNB's centenary function if she had sung all GNB's compositions it would have added colour & weight to the concert .in the raga reethigowlai the entire audience anticipated RAGARATHNA MALIKACHE which is one of GNB's favourite.she could have sung some unsual & rare ragas & krithis of GNB.on the whole the concert was satisfying
SRI saketharaman's concert on the 24 th was Superb .Bhairavi the tricky handling in the higher octave was so good that it really moved the audience.Pallavi in the Ragas mohanam in the aarohanam & ranjani in the avarohanam was sung so effortlessly.the accompaniments SRi Mysore SRIKANTH ON THE VIOLIN & SRI BHAKTHaVATSALAM travelled along with the artist in a such a way that it appeared as if it was a perfect team work .iIt is so nice of SRi Bhakthavatsalam to accompany upcoming Artists & encourage them.this concert is still ringing in our ears .
