How to go to unread messages

When I click on unread messages, the system pulls ou all unread messages with title. When I hit the title, it gives 60 or so messages. I have to click on "say page 5" at the top or bottom and then go the last latest message. Is that the way it works?

VKR, you are correct in your observation. The 'unread posts' is actually 'topics with unread posts'. You can either go to the last page or click on that little icon to the right of the last poster's user name and go to the last post. Same thing with 'view new posts', it is actually 'view topics with new posts'.

There may be a setting (that is not enabled ) which can put up a ''unread/new posts' link next to the topic which can take you to the first unread/new post... That is not there now.

Where is the new posts button that was there in the old forum? If we clicked on it, it took us to only those threads where new posts had been created. But now, we have to go to the forum title like 'General Discussions' and then go to the highlighted threads like this one. If it is a thread with multiple pages, one has to go to the fifth page manually and look at the new posts. It is highly inconvenient. What was done in 2 clicks now takes 5-6 clicks!

I usually click on view new posts , I wish to know if this hyperlink does give the new posts since our last visit? because it shows no posts for me when i click. I wish to know how to see the new posts since our last login? Pls help
