7) Neeraja Dala Nayana - Mand
It was a good concert with the Pallavi occupying centre stage. Was a nice Devagandhari Krithi. Haven't heard this too often. The Vachaspathi was rendered in quite some detail, with a nice round of Neraval. The RTP was very elaborate for about an hour. The Pallavi set to two Nadais was presented precisely with Trikalam done. The Ragamalika Swarams were sung well with reversal being done in the respective Ragams getting back to Shriranjani. The Tani was nice with the artiste improvising well. Post Tani, the Ragamalika (a composition of Smt Suguna Purushothaman) was appealing to me - one I heard for the first time. The violinist played a good supportive role.
Was a good concert with a challenging Pallavi presented nicely.
