Last year I attended 2 in the same Dikshitar akandham(Swarna rethas , mohan santhanam). It is really superb , if I am right you plan so that no krithis are sung twice , is that assumption right. Any thing different in this year than last year.

Is it required to carry this invite for the festival. My parents are in Chennai and they donot have internet or printer.
Can they attend without the invite.

Yes, Shri G. Ravikiran will be performing from 11AM - 1PM.

Hi Harishankar - It is not necessary to carry the invitation along , to attend the Akhandam. Looking forward to meeting you / your parents on 28th

Hi Rajeshnat - This year too, we have many of Dikshitar's rare compositions to be rendered by different artistes . And yes, we do try not to repeat any song twice, through the Akhandam.

If the Akhandam is from 9 am to 9 pm, what duration does each artist get? 12 hrs would also include the inaugural time and time for announcements, breaks etc?
