It was a very good concert. The AlApanais of both pUrvikalyANi and srI rAgam were lovely. The kambhOji was very good as well. The kritis were presented well and made it enjoyable. The accompanists were great. It was a true gayaki style fiddle presentation.

The acoustics and the sound system were very loud and hence made it tough to listen and enjoy

The attendence was poor. Even for Dr.Narmadha's there were less audience.

There were not so few people that the hall felt empty, though. --- at least for this program and for the next day, Hemalatha, which were the only two I was able to attend.

Both were excellent performances, and both my first times seeing these excellent violinists perform solo.

I'm happy to see able accompanists given this chance.

Which is saying something, for a not-so-small hall like PS High School! :)

Last year, Raga Sudha itself seems to have had crowds so thin that it showed.+ Someone actually counted the heads and told me!

+Well, Raga Sudha can house quite a few people, but I think chairs are more widely spaced in PS High School, making the hall large.

For a minute, there, I thought I might be posting about the wrong concert!

Yes, Swamy's Hall.

:$ :o

Sorry, but since I didn't attend any of the programmes I remembered the venue wrongly. :$ I must have heard it's "close to" PS High School. :worried:
