Prashant, here you go:
pallavi
enna seidAlum endan tuNai nIyE en annaiyE umaiyE ennai nI (enna seidAlum...)
My (en) mother (annaiyE) pArvati (umaiyE)! You alone (nIyE) are my (endan) companion (tuNaiyE) in this journey of life regardless of what (enna) you (nI) do (seidAlum) to me (ennai).
anupallavi
cinna vayadu mudal unnaiyE nambinEn
sinandenai aDittAlum parindeDut-taNaittAlum ini (enna seidAlum…)
I have believed in/depended on (nambinEn) no one but you (unnaiyE) from (mudal) a very tender (cinna) age (vayadu). I do not care if you hit/spank (aDittAlum) me (enai) in anger (sinandu), or pick me up (eDuttu) and embrace (aNaittAlum) me out of concern/affection (parindu), henceforth (ini), (regardless of what you do to me, you alone are my companion in this journey of life…)
caraNam
mun vinaiyAl inba tunbangaL viLaindiDa mUDamati koNDunnai nOvaden pEdamai
en vidhiyAl iDar Ayiram shUzhinum ellAm un tiruviLaiyADal enreNNi ini (enna seidAlum…)
Understanding/considering/believing (eNNi) that (enru)
1) the consequences of my past deeds (mun vinaigaL) have determined whether happiness (inba) or sadness (tunbangaL) is to flourish (viLaindiDa) in my life, and
2) that it is my (en) very own ignorance (pEdamai) born of (koNDu) my foolish (mUDa) mind (mat(d)i), that hurts (nOva) you (unnai), and
3) that even if countless (thousands (Ayiram) afflictions/problems (iDar) beset me (SUzhinum) because of my (en) fate (vidhiyAl), ultimately, everything (ellAm) is but your (un) divine (tiru) play (viLaiyADal),
henceforth/therefore (ini), (regardless of what you do to me, you alone are my companion in this journey of life…)
I wonder if it will be too 'tongue-in-cheek' to follow this up with 'nAn oru viLaiyATTu bommaiyA?'!

Here is the song if you want to connect it up:

Re: enna seidAlum - kharaharapriyA - pApanAsam sivan
Lji- thanks!
To clarify what I meant, in the k'priya composition, Sri Sivan says that he has decided that even if the devi toys with him he is content, because he understands that everything is part of her divine play/plan, while in the n'kAnaDa one he demands to know why the devi is toying with him, and asks for her to bless him with the ambrosia of her grace - very interesting contrast in the sentiments to me, that's all....

Thanks Ravi, Arasi and Lakshman Sir. A pretty song in a kharaharapriyA that in a few places flirts very closely with kAnaDA territory...
