Kedaragoura swara kalpana was well rounded followed by other kirthanas and then comes the Kamboji, very relaxing and the notation clarity is some thing unique to Brothers and always enjoyable. Thani Avarthanam by Sri Chelvaraj and Gururaj is good

Was this a solo concert, or did Sri Raghavachari join him later?SreeR wrote:The concert was started as solo by Sri Seshachary

SreeR,
Thanks for the write up. Please clarify Ravi's point - it is not clearr if both the Brothers performed.
It is nice to see names like Cheluvaraj and Gururaj, artistes I have listened to enjoyed their music.
It may be mentioned that Morching Gururaj is an accomplished mRdanga vidwan as well. He is the son of Bellary Venkateshachar.

SreeR,
I was a little confused. You have written about two concerts in Mysore of Sri. Seshachary (one of the Hyderabad Bros) on the 2nd and 3rd of April (not August!) at two different venues under the auspices of two different sabhas. It was a bit difficult for me to make this out. Please include the date and venue in the title of the thread so that it is easier to understand. I had to go back and forth several times to make sure I wasn't reading about the same concert. The song list (bless the song list:)) helped. Your mention about the solo at the start was confusing too. Now I get it.The absent brother was perhaps indisposed. I haven't heard one such concert where one of the duo is unable to sing on a given day. To get out of the habit of many years of shared performances may not be easy. On the other hand, it may be an adventure and a freeing experience too. What was your response to the announcement and to the concerts on this?

Arasi, I apologize for the confusion. Yes Sri Seshachary (younger brother and lead singer) performed solo at both places as Sri Raghavachary couldn't join in the last minute due some reason. I agree with you that it is adventurous but it went off well. I will try to make it to Bangalore concert on April 4th and I appreciate if somebody can write a review in case I miss. I adore their music and wish I can attend more often.
