Thank you clmweb.Just listened to the clip of the well rendered pAsurams. Smt Charulatha Mani has done a excellent job in explaining the meaning. It would have been nice if she had mentioned that the pAsurams are from the taru tuyaram tarAyEl padigam of kulaSEkarAzhvAr.

In general , some people may believe the poet does not take importance over the poem. Of course, there are others who have the "Who cares about lyrics, I want only the sindhubhairavi" attitude.We cant do anything about them. When one just mentions Azhwar pAsuram or divyaprabhandam or tEvAram, it does not convey anything there. If you just mention Azhwar, it means only nammAzhvAr and not any other AzhvAr. There are 24 prabhandams inside the divyaprabhandam. It is just like saying tEvAram without mention if it was by appar, sundarar or sambhandar. Also there are 7 prabhadams under tEvAram. Hopefully people will make a little more effort in either getting the pAsuram words properly instead of just AzhvAr pAsuram or divya prabhandam. I'm not pointing finger at anyone in particular, but it is a general reuqes to the whole Artist and Rasika community. IMHO, the divya prabhandams, the tEvArams and their poets (may be called vAggEyakkAras) ought to be given as much importance as ancient, medieval or modern trinity or other vAggEyakkAras.
