Any reviews of TM Krishna @ Cleveland?

TM Krishna was spectacular in Cleveland- truly a genius at work. this was my first TMK concert, and it was a wonderful experience.
here's the list of the major kritis from what i remember- others please add others i forgot

- Sri Ramam Ravi Kulaabdi Somam- Narayana Gowla, Dikshitar (S)- swarams at the end in both kalais were breath-taking. subbulakshmi on the violin matched him every step of the way. he was completely involved in the kriti and his emotion carried over to the audience too. narayana gowla doesn't get much love during concerts these days, but a big-time opener

- Koluvai - Bhairavi, Thyagaraja (R, N)- bhairavi alapana was a bit on the short side but very good. i think a really good job of delineating the raga. koluvai itself, while not my favorite bhairavi, was very touching, and the neraval.. man, it was something else. I was a bit disappointed when TMK finished without swarams, as that is my favorite part of this kriti

- TMK sang a somewhat lengthy alapana of what sounded like malahari but clearly wasn't, then after the alapana, explained that this was Kannada Bangala, the same arohana/avarohana as malhari, but in kannada bangala, you can sing prayogas like RMMP, MGM, PDMP or MDMGR. He then sang a dikshitar kriti- Renuka Devi i believe, which had a chittesharam which was then followed by solfa words that corresponded to the chitteshwaram but were not the saptha swaras (i.e. if chitteshwaram was SRM he would sing PDN but they were sung as SRM). some senior rasikas- please explain what this is?

- RTP in Begada- don't remember the sahityam to this or the ragamalika swarams, but i was totally enamoured by TMK's & Subbalaksmi's Begada, beautiful and very energetic elaboration was really a treat

Nice to hear that TMK took up nArayaNa gowLai. SrI rAmam flows like a rivulet in a meandering way. It isn't that rare to hear in concerts these days.

I think Renuka Devi has a graha swara section in SSP... could someone confirm this?

SSP has a swara-Graha portion for Renukadevi but there is no passage where SRM corresponds to PDN, in chitteswara. Both Malahari and Kannadabangla are janyas of Mayamalvagoula and in SSP same scale is provided for both the ragas while T.K.GovindaRao in his Compositions of MD gives the scale for kannadabangla as SRMPDS-SDMPMGRS for Renukadevi..... Perhaps we must use those prayogams or sancharas to highlight the difference between the 2 ragas.

@poincare- absolutely right, it is grahaswaras- that's what TMK said they were, it just slipped my mind. he gave a neat explanation at the beginning

@hariniraghavan- apologies, i was just using PDN as an example, definitely no N in either malahari or kannada bangala. i agree with you that prayogas like MPM or DMPM were highlighted in the alapana, however, not sure if we can think of kannada bangala strictly on that scale (SDMPMGRS)- since it seems like DPM is also common. not sure
