The concert started with a brisk ketharagowlai varnam. Following this Shubha presented Manavichekonavayya in Sarasangi, the swaras were fluent and interesting. Subha’s Mohanakalyani alapana was superb. The combination of brigas effective phrases and jaru phrases enhanced, the overall structure and beauty of the raga alapana, Sevesrikantham of swati tirunal was rendered asthetically and the kalpana swaras were lively. The main item Thodi was the highlight of the concert.The Raga alapana was elaborate and evocative, rendered in an unhurried pace with pure and pristine phrases.
The krithi Dasarathe’ was handled neatly and was marked by patantara shudhdham..
The Niraval and kalpanaswaras were outstanding. Subha has good manOdharma and impressive voice.

The violinst played a neat mohanakalyani and excellent thodi.

Ramakrishnan and Papanasam sethuraman gave very good support.
