Re: Sanjay at Milton Keynes (UK) on 11 April 2010
I attended the full house concert in London@BVB on 10/4.
Concert duration - Almost 3hrs 40 minutes
He sung a very good Aadum Deivam Nee (Kambhoji) and RTP in Bageshri - Pallavi line "Ninnaiye Rathi Yenru Ninaikiren".
Other songs he sang (of the top of my head) were Deva Deva Jagadeeswara (PurviKalyani); Jaadigaliley (Sriranjani); sri matrubhutam ( kannada);Theril Yeri Naan (Kalyani) and Viruttam (Ragamalika start with Ananda Bhairavi)
Thani by Venkatesh, post-main (Kambhoji), drew a thunderous applause. Varadarajan by and large was very good -Couple of times especially during his response, I got an impression that sound system/setting was sub-optimal
I don't think Sanjay's voice was in great shape *throughout* the concert.
Interestingly there was a concert on 9/4 in Newcastle and that could perhaps explain the above.
I guess back to back concerts for 3 days with fair bit of travel must be quite
demanding!
Jayaram - Any idea if there are any further Sanjay concerts scheduled for this month in UK?
