Sri Vijay Siva's concert in Los Angeles on April 17 2010

In a marked contrast the previous week's concert at the same venue by Mandolin brothers, the concert by Vijay Siva, R.K Sreeramkumar and J.Vaidyanathan left the audience with a sense of "Mana Niraivu". A s a s--e- n-i-o-r citizen with all the automatic freebies of old age, and with no pretention to the technicalities of Carnatic Music.. I can safely say that it was an enjoyable concert. well worth all the long distance drive . I am sure the C.M techies, who were in the audience will appraise the forumites with critical objective reviews. May Sri Rama bless the artists

Re #2, as explained in my posting which is more an appreciation than a critical review, amnesia is one of the bonuses of advancing age and consequently I cannot recollect what all constituted the previous evening's concert. [My (late) wife used to remark that I did not remember what I had for previous night's dinner] I can reclollect Todi varnam ,Samayamide, in Budhamanohari of Sri Muthayya Bagavathar, main piece Bairavi nE pAdamu, R.T.P i nAta kurinji, a purandaradas devarnama, Tirupgaz nAda vindu kalAdi etc. I am sure some one in the full house audiednce has already started typing a full review May Sri Rama bless you
