Re: Nadamadi thirinda-Nidastuthi
This line relates to the episode whereby Lord Shiva went to the house of paravaiyAr (celestial name=kamalini) in TiruvArUr at dead of night on behalf of Sundarar who wandered after marrying her (and married another dame by name SangiliyAr in TiruvoRRiyUr). After getting punished by the Lord for his transgression of deserting SangiliyAr after promising (in order to marry her) her not to do so (Sundarar got blinded in both eyes--but the Lord gave him a stick to walk with!!), Sundarar visited several other shrines and came back to TiruvArUr and wanted to get back to ParavaiyAr. Thereupon he was rebuffed by her. Then upon request from Sundarar, the Lord went as an emissary to plead Sundarar's case to ParavaiyAr at dead of night. After some persuasion ParaviyAr took Sundarar back. Did they live happiliy ever after? That is a celestial question.
In the nindAstuti, the line refers to the entry of Lord Shiva at ParavaiyAr's house and asks whether he got tripped there (and got disabled in his left foot).

Re: Nadamadi thirinda-Nidastuthi
See this thread as well.
The composer wonders if the hurt Siva sustained by tripping on the doorstep is the reason why he lifts his left foot up and bears all his weight on the right (which is true of all the sthalams except for madurai - where he is the 'kAl mARi ADiya kanakasabhEsan')
