Dear Semmu86, many thanks for the details. If am not wrong, the thiruNaksHatram falls on this Sunday (13.6.2010).. Its indeed our fortune that we have such an AchAryAL in our midst. One of the greatest ever AchAryAs we have after thirukkudanthai Andavan srimad vEdAntha rAmAnuja mahA dEsikan swAmigal..

Yes semmu86. There is also a recording of a snippet from hayagrIva stOtram. svAmi SrImuSNam ANDavan chooses rakti and heavy ragas often. Ahead of a benedictory speech (anugraha bhASaNam), he generally chooses a SlOka or pAsuram and sings it as a viruttam in 2 or 3 rAgAs and then explains the meaning and his intent of choosing it for the speech. He is a yati (renunciate) but a sakalakalAvallavar! He has profound knowledge in fields like philosophy, viSiSTAdvaita metaphysics, literature, languages, AyurvEdA, vignyAnA, etc.
