Mangalam
I missed out most of the unnati concerts except Sudha and Sanjay. Thanks to my office schedule, I am busy over the weekends too. Sudha took her time to adjust in the concert. Considering it was freezing in the auditorium, it did affect her voice. The concert hall was full and in fact people were standing outside the venue too to listen to her.
Kedargowla varnam was rendered with full bhava. The shanmukhapriya didn't impress me, though as usual her creativity was in full force while rendering the kalpana swaram. By now, her voice had kind of settled and the beautiful khamas composition by Dikshithar was rendered very well. The kalapramanam was perfect. Manirangu raga had it usual phrases, nothing that stood out. But she did justice to the krithi and kalpanaswara rendition. Akilandeshwari was a filler

By now it was already nine and she didn't have much time for tukkadas. Of course audience poured in requests, I am sure Vishamara Kannan was one of them. It was such a cute scene to see a little boy dance like Krishna

Skanda Subramaniam was good in patches. Since, he was unwell, that did speak on his performance. The ghatam vidwan also did a good job.
A word about the venue: Unnati is a small venue but the acoustics were good enough compared to other venues in bangalore.
