Ekaika Raagam - Sri satya narayanam upasmahe by Aruna Sairam

Post by venkatakailasam »

Smt Aruna Sairam has rendered the Song: Sri satya narayanam upasmahe by Muthuswamy Dikshdar.

This runs for 58.58 Mts. Made into four parts.
Part I Raga Alapaana
Part II Raga Alapana Continuation and Thanam
Part III Song and Pallavi Singing
Part IV Pallavi and Swara Kalpana The links are given below:

Part I : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BURah9cjBIA
Part II : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jpB1lQDeRm8
Part III : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I9cdZtxol4I
Part IV : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ufTOmkl54Rk

The Images relate to Badrinath -the place which Dikshadar had visited and composed the song.
I wonder whether any body can render the song so elaborately as she had done!

Venkatasailam, TNS has sung Sree Sathyanarayanam umpteen number of times after singing elaborate alapana and with neraval at Matsya koorma varahadi. He will sing swaras at various eduppus like matsya, koorma, varaha, dasavathara etc. It is to be heard and enjoyed. OF the present day musicians, he is the one who has started exploring new vistas of this raga and successfully developed it. His RTPs in this raga are truly mindboggling.
Before making such claims in respect of your favourite musician, first listen to all other musicians.

Unfortunately, I could not hear Madurai TNS so far.
I would like to clarify that I prefer none over others. If it is a good one and I like it and I would like to share .

venkatakailasam, thanks for stating that. It should clarify it for CRama'. That is how I interpreted your first post as well.

Actually I did enjoy listening to Aruna Sairam's piece more than I expected. That is always a good thing.

I think the OP can be forgiven for a small bit of sweeping generalization. You know how fans can get ;-)

Part I sounded like 2 singers... Or is this due to poor recording?

Subapantuvarali Madurai Shri TN Sesha Gopalan

Good music has no artist barrier- either Shri.TNS or Smt.Aruna sairam or both can provide you exhilarating music as they do very often.

I am providing link to Shri TNS ‘ Subapantuvarali running to one hour and 17 minutes concert- mind heart and soul bounding. recorded from an AIR broadcast some time back and forgottan. CRama had provided me the imputes to trace it back.

Keeping in view of You Tube ‘s limitation of 15 minutes,
This has to be made in 6 parts. Links are below:
