Dear rasikas, Please help by suggesting or providing non-copyright sample audio or video recordings and bios of vainikas to populate the list at http://vainika.wikispaces.com/Audioandvideo.

Some artists, I would like to suggest for inclusion :

1. RK Suryanarayana - (google search for bio; www.sangeethapriya.org for audio/video links)
2. RK Srinivasamurthy - Brother of RK Suryanarayana - one concert in Sangeethapriya.
3. R. Jayalakshmi (she used to play for Thyagaraja Sangeetha Vidwath Samajam and AIR) - I will get you the audio links
4. Neyveli Santhanagopalan - Plays sometimes on the stage.
5. Tata Banumathy - She used to play for AIR NPM
6. Veena Vasudevan - Disciple of Kalyanakrishna Bhagavathar
7. Sri Baluswamy Dikshitar - 5th Descendant of Sri Muthuswami Dikshitar - Now Baluswamy's son Muthuswami Dikshitar must be carrying the legacy.
8. Pudukottai R Krishnamurthy
9. Nirmala Parthasarathy.....

I am glad that you are working on this wiki. Ranganayaki Rajagoplan had a disciple by name Ramakrishnan, who was the Head of Service of Bharat Fritz Werner, Peenya, Bangalore. Are you that Ramakrishnan by chance?

Manipal Aruna Kumari from Mangalore, M K Saraswathi from Mysore, Yoga Vandana from Bangalore, Revathi Sadasivam also from Bangalore, Emani Kalyani of Hyderabad are some names that come to my mind immediately. I am sure there are many more.
By the way - I have an AWESOME audio of Ramnath and Gopinath playing a varnam - the synchronisation is UNBELIEVABLE! Can I upload it, or is there 'space' only for 1 sample of any artist's audio / video? How does this work?

Thanks to all for suggestions. If Smt. Radhika Rajnarayan and Smt. Maheswari Venkitaraman, who have both posted to this thread, could send their audio clip links to me ([email protected] or [email protected]) that would be great. Ditto for others who might have access to public domain recordings of the other artistes whose names have been suggested.

Also, several people have requested membership of the vainika wiki. I have added them, and request them to ensure that additions are in the same format as the existing text. Also, at present the only way to add more one link per artiste is to include these additional links in the artiste bio.
