Sanjay Subramaniam at KGS 12th September

Yesterday I happened to attend yet another beautiful concert of Sanjay Subramanyam, here is the list of songs rendered
1. Maguva Ninne Kori -narayanagowla-ata thala varnam
2.swaminath paripalya - nattai- adi thala
3.sattre villagiyirum pillai-poorvikalyani
4.Nattakurinji alaapnai followed by kuvaLaDaLa Nayana -thyagaraja-Adi thalam
5.Saveri alapanai followed by Annai Janaki VanDaLe
6. Nannu kanna thalli-Sindhu Kaanada- Adi-Thyagaraja
7.RTP in Karaharapriya; varali, mohanam, sahana,hindolam, kedaram, ameerkalyani and amrutha varshini
"Sabesanai nee ninnai maname (kanaka)(nadamidum)(aananda)"-rupakam
8. Payum oLi nee enakku- kamas
9. Naddrutheem- sindubhairavi-thillana-MDR

The ata varnam "maguva ninne kori" in narayanagowla was rendered wonderfully
Swarams for the nattai piece were sung at Valleesa guruguha, which was novel
The song in poorvikalyani was rendered with a lot of bhavam
The nattakurinji alapani was exceptionally good although not very long
Saveri was sung beautifully; as if all possible sancharas have been exhausted
The karaharpriya raga was rendered exquisitely; the violinists version was also very beautiful.
The pallavi itself was sung innovatively using three ragas at one stretch
The folkish Paayum oLi and MDR's sindubhairavi provided a fitting finish to yet another memorable concert of SanjaySub

I didnt know the name of the Kanjira artist; here are the other accompanists

Violin: S. Varadarajan
Mrudangam: Guruvayoor Durai
Kanjira: ?

Though I have heard Sanjay sing narayana gowlai, this varnam is new to me.
RTP line: sabEsanai ninai manamE (you have one extra 'n' there).
A couple of other forumites were there too at KGS last season when Sanjay sang kharaharapriya as a main (kOri sEvimpa??) which was remarkable. So, ragam K was taken up once again at KGS for delienation...

Loved the way he transitioned from a pleading tone while rendering the kriti to a somewhat strident and vehement "sattre vilagi irum" during the swaras!

MDR has sung this varnam in narayanagowla, quite a few rec are available. So is MSG's
