Title of Rasika Siromani

Have been reading all the posts with great interest.While there is a profusion of awards in the december fest for artists - music,dance and drama, nobody seems to recognise the silent efforts and contribution of the rasika. Where are the artists and organisers without them? Anyway, I am new to the forum and the wonderful and meaningful discussions in the forum makes me active to respond inspite of my hectic schedule. So, I thought that hosting the function for Rasika Sironmani would be just a small way to give back something to the rasikas of fine arts. We can even have 2 or 3 awards as suggested by a forumite. Let the seniors in the forum shortlist the names - i will try to be the humble host and do my bit!

Thanks to kssr who started this thread and Radha Bhaskar who graciously offered the high tea and the rest. This is honor enough .
Nick and the rest will not say 'no' to that cuppa though!
Just to know that there are many rasikAs out there who appreciate our Forum is reward in itself--both for those who keep the forum going (admin and mods) and for other active, steadfast rasikAs.

Btw, are we having a meet-up of the forumites this season?

It would be nice to put a face to the name of the members here... We can meet for coffee/tea and nice chit-chat.

During the proposed global meet scheduled for December 2010, can the idea of honouring one or more Rasikas with the title of Rasika Siromani, taken forward? Dr. Radha Bhaskar, I am sure is another person viewing the suggestion favourably .
