Accompanied by Akkarai Subbulakshmi -violin , ManojShiva - Mridangam and Trichy Murali - Ghatam.

Sree ThyagarAja sangeetha vidwath samAjam (estd 1929)@ mylapore, has just one presiding diety of sadguru ThyagarAja swami and Gayathri sang all the krithis composed by the bard.

1. sugunamUle cheppukonti (RS ,S) - chakravAkham
2. vAdEraa deivamu manasa ( N,S) - pantuvarAli
3. evarikai ( R,S)- devamanOhari
4. nEnendu vEtukuduraa - harikAmbOdhi
5. raghupathe rAma (R) - sahAna
6. neevaaDa nE gaana - sAranga
7. thanayuni brova (R,N,S,T)- bhairavi
8. Shree RAmA jayarAma- yadhukula KAmbOdhi?
9. jayati jayati bharAtha mAtha - KamAs - Mayuram Viswanatha sastri
10.nee Nama - Sowrashtram followed by a slokham in madhyamavAti

Gayathri Venkat started with a good rendition of sugunamule , swarams were quite good though her voice appeared not perfect.I did hear the next pantuvarAli after a long time , both the neraval and the swarams rendered very well. The rAga alApanai of the devamanOhari was short and the krithi rendition was just ok.

SahAna rAga alApanai was very good and the krithi was not emotively delivered as her alApanai.sAranga was plain and dipped the quality of the concert. Her voice rich in bhAvam was perfectly settled for a very elaborate Bhairavi and she delivered excellently . Her bhairavi krithi was good ,neraval could have been a little longer. The swarams was excellent . Liked the shree RAma , though noticed a slight tinge of Shankarabharanam in YaduKula KAmbOdhi??. Being independence day , she gave a good finish with jayati jayati in kamAs.

Akkarai played well throughout , but I wish her alApanai return should be little less(2/3rd) in proportion to singer's alApanai , not nearly equal to the time taken by singer. Accompanist both were just good and the Tani was plain. There were 2 speeches, one by Shri MS Anantharaman (noted violinist) at the beginnning and the other at the end of tani . Both were almost repetitive in content and ate 15 to 20 minutes of the concert time after late start of nearly 10 minutes .Overall gayathri was quite good.

The harikAmbhOji version is in either Kalluri Virabhadra Shastri's book or Ananthakrishna Sarma's book.
Karnatakabehag version is in Kritimani Malai.
