Thanks venkmal for the corrections.
What is meant by the word thopul?
Also please complete the line starting with neriyaDiyaiyum.... etc.

Lji,
thopul (not sure if this is the correct way to write it) = nABHi = umbilicus

Yes correct from naabhi kamalam Brahma came that's what it means. THis we can see in srirangam temple
even in adayar padmanabhaswamy temple.

pallavi: uRaiyum (one who resides)
AP: is a bit puzzling. Either overlap of words in the first line or has typos.
toppuL is correct.
bagiraNDam=universe
avvAmanan=of that dwarf
emarkkuNarttiDa=to make us realize (emakku+uNarttiDa)
ALginRa=ruling over.
The song takes a turn to second person in the caraNam from pallavi and anupallavi which are in third person.

I haven't seen this thread before (I mean in 2006 or 2008). But just a correction. There is neither nAbhipadmam nor chaturmukhabrahmA for perumAL in SrIrangam. You can tell it only say figuratively that there is an UnditAmarai!
