rshankarji,
you have done a superb translation.
phalamuliyagaligenindarki is a combination of "phalamula iya galigenu indariki"
"indariki" means, "for these" whereas "andariki" is "for all'
You are my senior in this forum and you have the right of way. Please do continue the translation.
Looking forward for the translation.
Thanhing you,

Wonderful! Thank you for the detailed meanings...now I understand several words that defeated me...

A question - parama bandhu - would be a 'great friend' right?
rAma and sugrIva sign a pact of friendship - Sri MDR describes it beautifully in one of his compositions, manamE rAmanai pADa as 'arkka vamshattAn avan arkkat-tanaiyaODu agni sAkSikam AghavE Aruyir naNban' playing with the many meanings of 'arka'. If you go to the link for Sri MDR's song, do not miss Rajani's explanation of how sugrIva is arka tanayan...

P: manamE (anda) rAmanai pADa maravAdE dinamE (en) (O)
A: janakan tan pudalviyAm (shrI) jAnakiyai maNandAnE jagamellAm pugazh jagadOddhArakanai en
C1: tandai shol taTTAdu tambiyum dAramumAi daNDakAraNyam shenru dAnavargaLai konravanai en
2: arkka vamshattAn avan (rAman) arkkat-tanaiyanODum agni sAkSikamAgavE Aruyir naNbanAna en
3: AnjanEyaniDam kAncanAnguliyattai (ati) vAncaiyuDan aLittu pOi varum enrAnai en
4: puSpaka vimAnattil karpak(g)a koDi sItai (rAman) pakkattil amara paTTAbhirAmanAna en

Sri MDR asks his mind (O manamE) to never forget (maravAdE) to sing (pADa) the praises of 'that' (anda) SrI rAma (rAmanai) daily (dinamE) in the pallavi, and explains who 'that' rAma is in the remainder of the composition.
AP: He is that rAma who married (maNandAnE) the daughter (pudalviyAm) of janakA, sItA (SrI jAnakiyai), savior/uplifter (uddhArakanai) of the world (jagat) who is praised (pugazh) by the entire (ellAm) world (jagam)
C1: He is that rAma who went to the forest (danDaka vanam/araNyam) with his brother (tambiyum) and wife (tAramumAi) to uphold (taTTAdu) his father's (tandai) words (Sol), and destroyed/killed (konravanai) many demons (dAnavargaLai) there
C2: He is that prince from the solar (arka) dynasty (vamSattAn) who sealed his friendship (Aruyir naNbanAna) with the son (tanayanODu) of the Sun (arka - sUrya), sugrIvA with the sacred fire (agni) as witness (sAkshikamAgavE)
C3: He is that rAma who gave (aLittu) his golden (kAncana) signet ring (anguliyattai) to hanumAn (AnjanEyaniDam) with great pleasure/anticipation/willingness (vAncaiyuDan) and sent him on his way (pOi vArum enrAnai) (to look for sItA)
C4: He is one who became the victorious/crowned king (paTTAbhirAmanAna) and returned to ayodhyA in kubEra's pushpaka vimAna with the lovely (karpaga koDi) sItA sitting (amara) by his side (pakkattil)

'Bandhu' normally means relative.
In the shlokam
'twamevE mAtA cha pita twameEa
twameEa bandhuscha sakhaAtwameEa'- the word 'bandhu' is used for relative and 'sakhA' for friend.
Also there is a practice of writing in our wedding inviations ,
'ishta mitra bandukkaLudan'- where 'mitra' is used for friend and 'bandhu' for relative.

Punarvasu - thank for that very nice explanation, I get that - but, AFAIK, sugrIva is always considered a friend, and is not referred to as one of the 'brothers' right? Like, guha, vibhIshaNa etc...

Parama bandhu may be "intimate relative"

though reasons are way apart, both rAmA and sugrIva have lost their wives[sIta abducted by rAvanA.
and sugrIva's wife ruma abducted by vAli]
Both have lost their kingdoms, [though rAma gave up his kingdom with no regrets, sugrIva's kingdom has
been forcibly snatched away]
May be that is the reason [of abducted wives] that has made rAma consider sugrIva as his "intimate relative"
[This is my guess]
