venkatakailasam.
Are you a human being ?
Or a Corporate Team ?
Or God Himself ?
You amaze all of us .
Please teach me your Mixing skills . For over two years , after being inspired by Govindans blog , I have been trying to pick one best rendering of each of Tyagarajas krithis - with clear diction that should pass the test with VGV himself - in the hope that someday I will mix the Blog contents with the Krithi and make a gift to VGV . - I am only halfway through though
I will need your lessons.

Re: Thirupavai
Excellent.
May be a digression, but the only thought that comes to my mind, is the similarity of 'paSu-pati' and 'gO-vinda' concepts. The jIvAs are paSu or gO and the paramAtma is the pati or vinda.
Interestingly, as per Monier's Dictionary, 'vinda' means 'finding'. With this meaning, 'go-vinda' would mean 'finding the gO - jIvA'.
Indeed, we - gO - jIvAs are lost in this World of make-believe.
Is He searching us? Or, are we searching Him? Who is finding whom?
Missing children - are we?
mk - I am humbled.

mankuthimma Sir,
I do not deserve it. Whatever is done is through the invisible guidance from SAI.
As regards ," I have been trying to pick one best rendering of each of Tyagarajas krithis -"
I also tried it some time back with the Shri Govindan's blog -Alphabetical order- as the starting point. I had encountered lot of missing songs. Then I found the link http://www.sangeethapriya.org/tributes/ ... ithis.html where Audio is available for nearly 664 out of 725 krithis
provided there in. As such, I have abandoned the project.
subsequently I thought I can do it for Annamachariar krities. In my blog at http://apurvaabhi.blogspot.com/
I have provided lyrics for around 120 krities with audio out of 2000 songs for which lyrics
are available. The problem is that not all songs are rendered by the artists.Only repetitions
are made by them.
Now as and when I come across , I update the blog.

Thanks for the info on Sangeethapriya .
In my case I am looking at tracks which will meet with VGV's approval . And I know that is not an easy thing
On a serious note , I search far and wide as part of my own education on this matter with respect to lyrics . And that includes detailed versions with interesting neravals . That explains my recent obsession with Tadepalli and other artists from Andhra .

Re: Thirupavai
Kji - if you want renditions of tyAgayya's songs to meet with Sri VGV's approval, I suggest you restrict your choices to a few artists - for example - Tadepalli Sri Lokanatha Sarma, Nedunuri Sri Krishnamurthy, the Malladi brother's etc...and for rAma nannu brOva rAvEmakO, only (our) Prashant has sung it (that I know of) with the words split correctly...and as for yE nATi nOmu phalamO, you know whose version wins hands down (at least IMO)...
- for after all, when all is said and done, with such riches that we're exposed to by people like Sri VGV, Sri Venkatakailasam, you, and every other member here, one does have to seriously wonder 'yE nATi nOmu phalamO, yE dAna phalamO?'

Re: Thirupavai
you know what ?
I have tried tagging info from VGV' Blog , with due credits as well , onto the track's id-tag and played them using a zortam player . http://www.zortam.com/zplayer.php
The effect is wonderful with the lyrics scrolling up , as the song is played. And as the neraval unfolds , there are provisions for changing the directions of the scroll etc . It is all coming together.. Beautiful

gAm vindati iti gOvindaha! In ANDAL's own words, gOvindA unakkE nAm AtceyvOm!
Please note the EkAram in the unakkE Sabdam indicating the confidence She has in gOvindan and she will not go to anyone/anything to ask for mOkSam!
The images of the Lord when Smt MLV is singing "pArkaDaluL payya tuyirnRa paramaDi" are from the malayALa divyadEsams - tiruvananthapuram and tiruvaTTAru.
Thanks so much for the beautiful "kalavai".
