Is it not true that people rush to temples, churches and mosques when they have trouble (even closer to exam dates)? Assumption is God will help them. So do people rush to Sai thinking he is going to help.
One difference is that Sai is at least there in flesh and blood
No offence meant. It is quite a normal condition of the human brain to "fear /depend" on parents, then the spouse, then the children and always god.
