Both the masters displaying their skills in their own way enthralling the audience.
A very brief tani as time was running out.The prog.started @ 7:50 p.m

Then the award funtion where Smt.vAni JairAm was presented an award.Pt.VMB came out with the mike singing Bol re pappi harA ( the immortal song from Guddi,sung by VJ ( Miyan ki malhAr?)beautifully composed by Vasant Desai) and VJ also sang the pallavi.She has an amazing voice even now.The voice anchored in sruti in spite of singing without the aid of sruti box or tAnpura.

She also sang a composition in RajasthAni mAnd in honor of Panditji since he hail from that place and the pandit also joined her.I hope RajasthAni mAnd is of kamAj thAt.

The atmosphere was charged with emotion though there were only a small crowd.It was 10:30 p.m.For some reason my heart was heavy with nostalgia when I came out.
