A grand concert which would have been grander had her voice was in fine form. As such she couldn't scale tara stayi and the voice gave way but the Thodi alapana mostly in the madhyama stayi was just sublime as was Narmada's return. Special mention about Narmada's violin - no screeches and nothing harsh, all silken touch and sweet music. Percussion for the slow and moving brovavamma stood out and enhanced the beauty of that gem. All in all, something that I will be remembering for quite some time.
But if Sowmya doesn't sing dharmasamvardhani or deva sri or adigi sukhamu or evarichirira etc. who will?
