Aren't there too many topics here for a single thread??

volETi, volEti, and oh.. volEti..

Musicians of the dAgar family who sing/ play nATa, kAmbhOji, Vardhini and AmrtavarSiNi may be good examples of what may be the complementary set to your list...

Also, in your list, 'well-versed' seems to overlap into 'acquainted with'..

Let me add two more names to the list - 1) Sri T V Gopalakrishnan. Besides being a mridanga vidwan, he is well versed in carnatic as well as hindusthani vocal music. He is also an excellant composer ( his kadanakuthuhalam tillana is an evidence for his skill as a composer). 2) Smt. Leela Omcheri. I think she is a research oriented musician. Her books like Sangeethathinte padavum paadavum,Sangeetaadi, Abhinaya sangeetam(all in malayalam)proves how expert is she in the both branches of indian classical music and also in dance music.
